School visits ...

I would love to visit (or virtually visit) your school or education setting!

My MG books ‘The House on the Edge’ and 'The Mermaid Call' are perfect for 8-12 year olds and I can tailor sessions to suit different ages and abilities across primary and secondary.

I have lots of experience of running school workshops and talks, from 'Meet the Author' assemblies to bespoke creative writing sessions that can cover a range of cross-curriculum topics, including English, History, Geography and PHSE.

Some workshop examples include:

• Create your own 'Spooky House Story' activity

• Create your own 'Village Legend - monster or mermaid' activity

• Grow your Imagination Superpower

• Empathy workshop (I am an EmpathyLab trained author and included within the Read for Empathy Collection)

While I follow the Society of Authors’ recommended fees, I'm very happy to discuss what suits you budget-wise, especially if you're a school with higher levels of deprivation. I'm also happy to make a reduction if you’re ordering books for the visit through an independent bookshop!
